What is Cybersecurity?

Cybersecurity professionals work to prevent cyber attacks by safeguarding companies and individuals against online theft, disruption, misdirection, and unauthorized access to their electronic data and services.

Types of cybercrime can include:

  • Email and internet fraud

  • Identity/financial theft

  • Ransomware attacks/cyber extortion

  • Data breaches

Cybersecurity Ventures projects that global cybercrime costs will reach $12.2 trillion by 2031. The need for cybersecurity professionals is growing at a rapid pace, making now a great time to join the fight against cybercrime. The Cybersecurity Bootcamp at Fullstack Academy gives beginners and seasoned professionals in-demand skills to help build a successful cybersecurity career.
