Overcoming Imposter Syndrome to Pursue a Cyber Career

Although he enrolled with limited tech experience and skills, Fullstack Academy Cybersecurity Bootcamp graduate Kelly Johnson is now confident in his job readiness. Reflecting on his learning journey, he states:

“I was told [the bootcamp] would be intense, fast-paced, and transformative—and that turned out to be 100% true. The pace is challenging, but the environment is super supportive. On top of that, diving deeper into Python scripting and more advanced Linux skills has been a game-changer. The bootcamp showed me how to think like an analyst and apply [cybersecurity] tools in practical, meaningful ways.”
