We're Fullstack Academy, a Y Combinator-backed EdTech start-up
These are the values we live by
- No assholes
- Stay lean and invest in what matters
- We are all a little bit crazy about creating outcomes
- We strive to accelerate meaningful and enduring diversity in tech
- We figure it out as a team
- We trust each other to do the right thing
- Wow is in our playbook
- We want to make you happy, but we're here to make you better
To build a better product, team, and company, we cultivate empathy first.
Recognized as a standout workplace by organizations and employees alike
"Honestly the best thing about working here ... was that the people are awesome"
"Cons: I can't think of any."
"Surrounded by smart, engaged, nice people every day"
"Open and trusting environment conducive to self-directed and hard-working people"
"Fullstack Academy was great for professional growth, and I left with lasting friendships with other staff members and students."
Our mission is bigger than ourselves
Our purpose is to transform individuals, communities, and economies by teaching technologies that power the future.
There is currently a shortage of skilled web developers in the burgeoning tech industry, so Fullstack Academy offers a functional programming education that costs less than a four-year degree, is more specialized and takes less time, and prepares students to launch a career as soon as they graduate.
We're also committed to diversity and inclusion, which makes tech a more welcoming industry for all of us, and yields better products and services. That commitment is exemplified by the 2015 founding of our partner school Grace Hopper Program, an all-women's bootcamp that lowers the barrier to entry by enabling women to attend bootcamp first and pay later--once they've gotten full-time, in-field work.
