Augmented Reality

Have you ever wanted to play a quick tabletop game but didn't have the proper pieces with you? With Viro Media you can use image recognition to have 3D models appear in your phone view to play with.

Kevin Delvo and Yeshi Wangdi experimented with the Viro Media platform to see how image recognition works in augmented reality. For example, upon acquiring the image of a Tesla logo, a small scale Tesla car pops up into view. On click, an interface of colored orbs appear over the Tesla which can manipulate the color of the Tesla.

In theory, you can do the same with different images to render out different 3D objects such as a dice, lamp, or even a small scale medieval knight.
