How to visualize museum data with D3.js

Here, Jacob Kayen discusses an overview of the D3.js library and how to utilize with with large datasets. Incorporating open-source museum data from GitHub, Jacob demonstrates some straightforward features to make your first bar graph and pie charts, and show some of the possibilities with D3. Examples include: creating shapes, basic data manipulation, bar graphs, a pie chart, and using Datamap to visualize a dataset geographically! Included with the presentation are the GitHub repo for all examples shown, as well as other sources to help you on your D3/museum data journey.
