Tech Talk: Digital Poetry with Context-Free Grammars

Context-free grammars generate strings of text through a set of recursive production rules. In this video, Pimpila Howe gives an overview of how context-free grammars work. She also walks through how she built an app that randomly assembles haikus out of Wu-Tang lyrics. Methods from the RiTa library were used to define the grammar and analyze parts of speech and syllable counts. You can check out Wu Haiku here:
