We leveraged WebSockets to enable real-time collaboration between the session's attendees. During a whiteboard session, attendees are able to compose notes, upload images (which are hosted on AWS S3) and append links. Attendees can assemble notes with color and drag ideas around the board. We leveraged the D3.js visualization library to create branches between notes. Attendees can also participate in chats with one another. As a host you have the capabilities to toggle off branches and create swim lanes to group notes. Hosts can also control a vote poll and see a summary of the results.
