New York City Tree Finder

New York City Tree Finder is an interactive web application built by Julia Morley and Lena Forti, which includes a map of NYC with markers, information, and directions for tree species upon selection. It allows urbanites to navigate to green space in a city seemingly surrounded by skyscrapers, allows for trees species identification, and inspires users to seek out their favorite kinds of trees.

Lena and Julia were able to access information about over 600,000 trees in New York using the NYC Open Data API. They used this information concurrently with React-Redux, Express routing, and the Google Maps API to render the tree species at their correct locations.
