A quick look at my nutrition tracking app. The app tracks macronutrients (protein, fat, and carbs), and calories. Users can use a calculator to determine their daily nutrition goals, and then search the USDA database for food they want to eat. When the user finds the food they want, they can add it to their daily log, and the app keeps a running tally of where they stand in relation to their goals.
