While most continuous integration apps only offer the ability to run tests in isolation, Newman allows users to write tests in a specified sequence, or "stack", which represents a user behavior "story."
An e-commerce site may want to test that users can successfully check out products from a cart, for instance. Testing this user story requires that users can successfully log in, add a product to his/her cart, and subsequently check out.
Newman offers several tools to customize stacks and tests. For example, modifying the testing sequence merely involves dragging and dropping. When building tests, users are able to write their own validators to test that their site is returning the expected HTTP response. From the stack view page, users can see a broad diagnostic of their stack performance.
